Riverside Furniture

Riverside has been growing with America
for more than half a century now. Founder Herman Udouj opened the doors to
his first factory in 1946, and along with 12 employees began making handcrafted
furniture for the post World War II baby boom era.
Since then, Riverside has been a name three generations of Americans who
have furnished their homes and offices with our wide range of furniture products
have come to rely on.
Herman
said it best more than 50 years ago. "We want the Riverside Furniture
name to be trusted for quality products that are an affordable value. It's
just that simple."
All Riverside Furniture domestic products are constructed of the finest
wood species from American forests. Their preferred hardwoods include red
and white oak, ash, poplar and pine...to name just a few. These wood species
have been the choice of cabinetmakers for hundreds of years because of
their durability and beauty of grain. The making of any domestically produced
piece of Riverside furniture begins at their dimension lumber plant, located
in Russellville, Arkansas. Here the rough lumber is first "graded" to
make sure it meets Riverside Furniture's high standards for the making
of our furniture.
The lumber is then kiln dried to make sure that just the right amount
of moisture is removed from the wood to help prevent "season splitting" which
is the natural result of wood that is either too moist or too dry or exposed
to dry or moist conditions in the home. Once the wood is finally ready,
it is then sent to one of their three manufacturing plants located in Fort
Smith, Arkansas.

In
addition to their manufacturing facilities in the United States, Riverside
furniture also sources an extensive array of quality products from various
countries world-wide. These products are produced to their specifications
and offer an exceptional value in style and price.
Basista Furniture offers the complete line of fine Riverside Furniture
for the discriminating taste at prices favorable to the family's budget!
